LUCY - SF
Age: ~ 8 - 9 Years Old
Current Weight Range: ~ 26 lbs
Breed: Spaniel Mix
Meet Lucy! Lucy is a former SGH alum who sadly had to be relinquished to us as her owners physically unable to care for her. It was very difficult for them to let her go, so we are determined to give her the best home possible for the remainder of her years. Lucy is about 8 - 9 Years old and is only about 26 lbs.
Lucy absolutely adores kids and does well with dogs her size or smaller. No big dogs or cats for this lady. She knows basic commands and does not to be in a crate. She seems ball driven and enjoys playing fetch. She is up to date on her vaccinations and monthly preventatives. Now she just needs a cozy home to settle into.
It's tough to have to bring in a senior to the shelter environment, so we're hoping we can get Lucy into a new home as soon as possible. If you think Lucy could be your girl, submit an application to come meet her!

JORDAN - M **DEAF**
Age: ~ 3 - 4 Months Old

Breed: Catahoula / Aussie Shepherd Mix
Meet Jordan from the Aussie Cat litter! Another group of innocent pups impacted by their owner’s drug addiction. Their previous owner had 5 dogs and lived in a camper behind a flea market. One of the females gave birth to yet another litter under the camper and our rescue was alerted. At first the woman refused to give up the pups, making it extremely difficult to care and save these pups as it took time to convince her.
In meeting the mom and dad, they have the most amazing personalities, with a kind and calm temperament. Mama is a gorgeous Catahoula and dad looks to be a pure bred Australian Shepherd. We have photos if you’re interested in seeing them! Both of them are also now safe in rescue and receiving some much needed medical care.
Jordan is deaf and will require hand signals and other training methods to learn. A buddy dog is also highly recommended for him as the dog who can hear will naturally take on the positive and confident role that he will need for training, modeling, and guiding life experiences. Jordan will require a very gentle, patient and special household. He's a very active little man, so you're not just bringing in a puppy - you're bringing in a puppy that can't hear! We strongly consider you do research so you understand all that goes into bringing home a deaf dog.

KATRINA - SF

Meet Katrina! She's a highly intelligent 8 month old spayed Cattle Dog mix. Katrina has a submissive nature and is always happy to flip onto her back for some belly rubs. She also has a very adorable overbite.
Katrina will do best in a home who can provide her with structure and guidance. She's been working on her leash manners and corrects very well. This girl lives to please. SONNY - NM

Sonny is our most special boy at the Guest House in need of the most special family. He is now roughly around 10-11 months old, has been neutered and he's likely to be a pretty big boy when fully grown.
Sonny and his siblings (who have all been adopted) had a very rough start to their life. They were kept in an empty swimming fool where their owners would just chuck food at them. The result is now they are all incredibly fearful and it takes them a lot of time to build trust and feel comfortable. We've been working with Sonny, but there are several things that are clear to us when it comes to finding his forever home.
Sonny will need:
- A female only home: He is terrified of men. He has never reacted on any human or a dog - however, his whole body freezes up and shakes. We are not ruling out men being in his life, but his home will have to be predominantly female or female only.
- A confident dog sibling: Sonny NEEDS another dog in the house. It helps him model their behavior. If he sees another dog coming up to you and getting love, he's more likely to warm up to you as well. This is a must.
- No young kids or new dog owners: Sonny requires someone with dog experience. He is scared of sudden movements and loud noises, so a family with young children and no experience with fearful dogs will not be a good fit for him.
All of Sonny's siblings have made tremendous progress in a home. But it's required patience and time for all of them to get there as well as understanding their limits. Sonny may not take to you right away, but when he does, it's one of the most rewarding experiences. He truly is a beautiful dog with so much joy to offer, he just needs some help in opening up and feeling like it's ok to just be a dog and enjoy life!

Meet Dillon! Dillon was at animal control and our rescue affiliate noticed he and his siblings were up next on the euthanasia list. Fortunately they were all brought into good care until they could hitch a ride North to SGH.
While he may seem shy at first, Dillon warms up quickly and has amber eyes that speak right to your soul. This boy was built to run! He has energy to burn and would love a big yard to run around and a fur-sibling to burn out his zoomies with. He’s absolutely hilarious to watch as he proudly zips around the yard, but he will always stop dead in his tracks to get lots of pets and cuddles from his people.
Dillon rides great in the car and does well with dogs of all sizes. He's smaller what he may look like in photos - so he's a really nice size for a family with kiddos of all sizes. While Dillon has not been cat tested, we think he would be fine with a feline friend - he may just be interested in getting a good few sniffs as he first settles in!

No dog should have to be put under just because they take up space, so we're hoping you can open your homes and hearts to Miami or one of his remaining siblings at the Guest House.
Miami is an active little guy. We think an older, bigger dog would be the perfect compliment for him. He has not been cat tested, but with proper introductions and training, we think he could do just fine. The beach pups each have their own personality, and each one of them just wants your love, guidance, and a happy home after a rough start. We're sure that one of these pups would be the perfect fit for your family!

Meet Widow! Widow is the last of his remaining littermates who is patiently waiting for a home. Sadly, black dogs tend to take much longer to be adopted.
Widow and his siblings were well loved by their foster in TN and it shows. They all are a playful, moderately active group. Widow has a sweet temperament and he enjoys playing with other dogs.
As all puppies do, Widow will require patience and training, but he's a pretty well behaved guy for his age.
Widow would make a great addition to any home! Give this boy a chance!

He might seem like a tough guy, but he’s all mush and cuddles once you see through his act. Titan was at animal control and about to be put to sleep right before he was brought into rescue. Titan is looking for someone who has experience with Chihuahua’s. Looking for a little pup to make a big impact in your life?
