BUMPER - NM
AGE: ~ 4 - 5 Months Old
WEIGHT: 31 lbs
BREED: Braveheart Buddy Hound
Meet Bumper! When Bumper first caught our eye in a rural Tennessee shelter, our hearts sank. His eye was severely damaged and beyond saving. It was clear he had already been through more than a puppy ever should.
But after surgery to remove it, something incredible happened. A whole new Bumper emerged.
Almost immediately, he was running through the yard with his foster siblings, playing, exploring, and soaking up life with the kind of joy only a puppy can have. To Bumper, nothing had changed. He doesn’t see himself as different, he simply sees the world as something wonderful waiting to be discovered.
During follow-up care, it was determined that Bumper also has limited vision in his remaining eye. After evaluation with a veterinary ophthalmologist, he was diagnosed with Persistent Hyperplastic Primary Vitreous (PHPV), a congenital condition that affects how the eye develops before birth. Over time, it is likely that Bumper will slowly lose the remainder of his vision.
We know that can sound like difficult news. But Bumper doesn’t know that. And more importantly, it doesn’t define him.
Bumper is simply a happy-go-lucky, tail-wagging, puppy who is always on the lookout for new friends. He’s playful, curious, and incredibly social. He became fast friends with the other dogs in his foster home and would likely do beautifully with cats and children as well. Bumper simply wants to be part of the fun.
Dogs are remarkably adaptable, and with a loving family willing to guide him, Bumper can live a full, joyful life. What he needs most is a home willing to grow alongside him. A family who will help him navigate the world as his vision changes, and who will see just how much love he has to give.
Bumper has been neutered, microchipped and is up to date on his age-appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Now he’s just hoping the right family will see past what makes him different and realize he’s exactly the kind of dog who makes life brighter.

LOLA - SF
AGE: ~ 2 - 4 Years Old
WEIGHT: 48 lbs
BREED: Honeyheart Collie
Meet Mama Lola! Mama Lola was found living beneath a house during some of the coldest months of winter. It was in that very same place she likely gave birth to seven puppies and was doing everything she could to keep them safe.
A kind neighbor eventually noticed her and began leaving food out after realizing she was nursing a litter somewhere nearby. They could hear the puppies, but no one could reach them. The little ones were scattered through the tight spaces under the house and even into the ductwork.
When search and rescue stepped in, it turned into quite the adventure. Puppies were popping up everywhere, and there was Mama Lola, wagging her tail and trying to wriggle her way into every opening to retrieve her babies. It was chaotic, a little comical, and incredibly touching all at the same time. Over the next few days, every last puppy, and Mama Lola herself, was safely brought out and into rescue.
Mama Lola is the definition of quiet strength and devotion. Despite everything she endured, she is one of the most gentle, docile souls you could meet. She loves to hop up to greet you with soft affection, placing her paws on you as if to say hello. There’s a calmness about her, a softness that makes you feel like she’s simply searching for comfort and a place where she finally belongs.
She appears to do well with other dogs, cats are unknown, and we believe she would do beautifully with respectful, dog-savvy kids who understand her gentle nature. She’s moderately active and has been making great strides with her training while in a foster home so she will be ready to continue that journey with her future family.
Lola has been spayed, microchipped, and is up-to-date on her vaccinations and monthly preventatives. Mama Lola spent the beginning of her story protecting her babies. Now it’s her turn to be the one who is protected, cherished, and loved.

BLUE - NM
AGE: ~ 1 - 2 Years Old
WEIGHT: 58 lbs
BREED: Blue Tick Goofhound
Meet Blue! If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if someone combined a big goofy personality, endless enthusiasm, and a dog who thinks every moment is the best moment ever… you’d probably end up with Blue.
Blue arrived as an unclaimed stray after the kind person who found him realized they couldn’t keep this big, joyful whirlwind of a dog. Their loss, honestly, is someone else’s future daily entertainment.
Blue is the definition of fun-loving chaos in a spotted suit. He’s big, bouncy, and fully convinced that every new person he meets is his best friend. Personal space? Never heard of it. Blue greets the world like it’s a party he’s been waiting all week to attend.
Right now, he’s still working on his manners…particularly the part where he doesn’t launch himself into the air like a joyful rocket when he sees you. But underneath the jumping and zooming is an incredibly good-natured dog who just wants to love everyone and be part of the action.
Blue is great with other dogs and would likely thrive in an active home that appreciates his zest for life. Cats are still unknown, and because his excitement level can occasionally resemble a friendly freight train, he may be best suited for a home with older kids who won’t get accidentally bowled over by his enthusiasm.
He’s also still polishing up some of the basics. House training is a work in progress and he’s just beginning to learn about crate life, but with consistency and structure, this big goofball is going to catch on quickly.
Blue is the kind of dog who will make you laugh every single day. The kind who turns ordinary moments into ridiculous ones. The kind who reminds you that life is supposed to be fun.
Blue is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines and monthly preventatives. If your household has a sense of humor, a little patience for training, and a love for big goofy personalities… Blue might just be your guy.

CHARLIE - M
AGE: ~ 3 - 3.5 Months Old
WEIGHT: 18.2 lbs
BREED: Halo Hounds
Meet Charlie! He’s one of 3 of our Charlie’s Angels. And angels they truly are…a tiny miracle litter who survived against all odds. Their story begins with their brave mama, Charlie. She came from a legal seizure involving nearly 30 dogs living in heartbreaking conditions. Many of the dogs had spent their lives chained outside, and several were pregnant when the sheriff’s office stepped in. Charlie was the third expecting mama we learned about during the case.
By the time we were able to rescue two other mothers and their puppies, our foster network was completely full. It was devastating to know Charlie had been taken to the local shelter and that we couldn’t immediately bring her into rescue. We hoped she would be kept safe there.
Sadly, that wasn’t the case.
Charlie was placed in an outdoor kennel with little protection from the cold with her only coverage being a broken dog house that was barely holding together. When she gave birth, there were eight puppies. One passed away the first night, and over the next few days the others began to fade one by one. Shelters in the rural South can be incredibly difficult places for vulnerable dogs, especially a mother trying to raise newborn puppies.
As soon as we realized what was happening, we scrambled. Puppies were shuffled between foster homes, space was made wherever possible, and getting Charlie out became our top priority. When we finally arrived to pick her up, we expected to find seven puppies waiting.
Only three were still alive.
Those three tiny survivors have been thriving ever since, surrounded by care and warmth in foster homes. Despite everything they endured, these pups are nothing but sweet, gentle souls. They are affectionate, loving, and full of the quiet resilience that comes from having already overcome so much. They enjoy cuddles, playtime, and soaking up every bit of love they can get.
They are truly beautiful little dogs, inside and out, and are living reminders of their mother’s strength and devotion.
These 3 would do well with any family ready to take on the adventure of raising a puppy. They are working on all things training so patience, consistency and lots of love will be what they need to thrive.
They’ve all been microchipped and are up-to-date with their age-appropriate vaccinations and monthly preventatives. Now these miracle puppies are ready for the next chapter of their story: a forever home where they can finally experience the safety, joy, and comfort they’ve always deserved.

CASSIE - F
AGE: ~ 3 - 3.5 Months Old
WEIGHT: 26 lbs
BREED: Creekside Houndadors … A little lab, a little hound, 100% adorable.
Meet the Cherry Creek Gang! Also known as our lovable “C” pups, this charming bunch is ready to bring a whole lot of joy (and a little puppy chaos) into the lucky homes that welcome them.
This litter found their way to rescue after being surrendered as an unwanted surprise. Their mama is an AKC-registered chocolate lab who apparently had a little rendezvous with the neighbor’s hound. The result? A truly adorable group of pups with the most striking black-and-white coats, kissed with hints of brown thanks to their beautiful mama.
These puppies are exactly what young pups should be: curious, playful, and always exploring the world around them. Right now they’re in their classic puppy phase which means they are a little jumpy, happily nibbling on anything within reach, and tumbling through life with that joyful clumsiness only puppies can pull off.
But underneath the puppy antics are some of the sweetest dispositions you could ask for. They love to zoom around the yard, wrestle with their siblings, and soak up the sunshine. Watching them run free and simply be happy puppies is the sweetest reminder of why we do what we do. When the playtime winds down, they’re all about the cuddles. Scratch their tummies and they’ll melt into you like butter, soaking up every bit of love they can get.
They’ve been fostered with a 7-year-old child and have done wonderfully, so we expect they would do well in homes with respectful kids. They are also good with other dogs (cats are still unknown). Of course, like all young puppies, they will need families ready to commit to the full puppy package that includes training, structure, exercise, and enrichment to help them grow into well-adjusted adult dogs.
They’ve all been microchipped and are up-to-date with their age-appropriate vaccinations and monthly preventatives. For any family ready for the adventure, the Cherry Creek Gang will bring endless smiles, laughter, and love.

LUKE - M
AGE: ~ 3 - 3.5 Months Old
WEIGHT: 20 lbs
BREED: HVAC Hounds
These eight little miracles have already had quite the start to life. Their journey began underneath a house during some of the coldest months of winter, where their devoted mama, Lola, gave birth and did everything she could to keep them warm and safe.
A kind neighbor eventually noticed Lola and began leaving food out after realizing she was nursing puppies somewhere nearby. The puppies could be heard under the house, but no one could reach them.
When search and rescue stepped in, the puppies had scattered through every nook and cranny they could find. They were even hiding out in the ductwork. Meanwhile, Mama Lola stood nearby wagging her tail, trying her best to wriggle into every opening to gather her babies. Over the course of the next few days, every single puppy, and Mama Lola herself, was safely brought out and into rescue.
Now these pups are thriving. Their personalities are beginning to shine, and they are exactly what puppies should be. They’re curious, playful, and always ready to stir up a little trouble. They love to romp, wrestle, and explore the world around them with wide-eyed enthusiasm.
In foster care they’ve already made some progress with house training, but like any young pups, they’re still learning the ropes when it comes to manners, potty training, and all the basics of growing up. Patience, consistency, and positive training will be key as they continue to develop.
These puppies are incredibly smart, and we suspect there may be some working breeds in their background. Because of that, training and enrichment should begin early to keep their curious minds engaged and set them up for success. They would do well with any family ready to embrace the adventure, chaos, and incredible reward that comes with raising a puppy.
They’ve all been microchipped and are up-to-date with their age-appropriate vaccinations and monthly preventatives. From surviving beneath a house and inside air vents… to curling up safely in loving homes, that’s the future we want for these little darlings.

BILLY - M
AGE: ~ 3 - 3.5 Months Old
WEIGHT: 21 lbs
BREED: Barn Buddies
Meet Billy! Billy and his 3 siblings were found living in a place that was never meant to be home. They were discovered living in an old man’s barn, most likely after being dumped there. Thankfully, the man reached out to our friends at BarkPlace4Dogs for help, and these little ones were able to make their way into rescue where they finally had warmth, food, and people looking out for them.
Despite their rough start, the Barn Pups have proven to be exactly what puppies should be, they’re playful, affectionate, curious, and always ready for the next adventure. Billy is the spitfire of the group. He marches to the beat of his own drum and seems a little different from the rest of the crew which makes us wonder if there may have been more than one dad involved. Either way, he’s packed with personality and keeps everyone on their toes.
While in foster care they did wonderfully with early house training and quickly learned how to use the dog door with very few accidents. Of course, as with any young puppy, adopters should expect a few setbacks during the transition into a new home as they continue learning the ropes.
They are energetic, good-natured pups who love attention and are at the perfect age to start puppy training classes. With structure, patience, and plenty of love, they’re going to grow into wonderful companions. We think they would do well in just about any home ready to embrace the fun, chaos, and joy that comes with raising a puppy.
They’ve all been microchipped and are up-to-date with their age-appropriate vaccinations and monthly preventatives. From a barn to a brand-new beginning, these pups are ready to find the loving homes they deserve.

MOLASSES - M
DOB: 11/14/2025
WEIGHT: 6 - 8 lbs
BREED: Box Truck Scruffhound
Everyone, please welcome the tiny terrors…*ahem* We mean terriers! If you’re looking for an extra spicy little companion who will keep you on your toes, we’ve got five of them. This scruffy squad came to us after the Animal Control Officer in Milton reached out for help with a heartbreaking situation. A woman had been keeping 28 dogs in the back of a U-Haul truck during freezing weather.
Overwhelmed with the number of dogs involved, Animal Control asked if we could step in and help take a few while the case was sorted out. For a while, we feared these little ones might have to return to where they came from. But thankfully, the dogs were officially surrendered, and now these pups finally have the chance to live the lives they deserve.
If you’re looking for a quiet, low-key lap dog these scruffy little comedians may not be your match. We’re pretty confident there’s a good dose of terrier in this bunch, which means big personalities packed into tiny bodies. They are bold, energetic, curious, and constantly bouncing around like tiny jumping beans with opinions about everything.
Unless, of course, they’re placed in what we lovingly call “air jail.” That’s when they’re scooped up and held, at which point they’ll happily melt into your arms for a moment… before wiggling free and launching right back into chaos mode.
Born November 14, 2025, these scruffy sprites are petite pistols and we expect them to stay under 20 pounds when fully grown. But don’t let their size fool you. Terrier breeds were originally developed to hunt vermin, which means they tend to be smart, determined, vocal, and occasionally enthusiastic diggers.
They are still very much puppies and just beginning their journey with training. They are not potty trained yet, and they haven’t quite mastered any special talents unless you can count professional-level zoomies. Their independent streak means training will require patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, but that same intelligence also makes them incredibly fun companions for the right home.
We also suspect their adorable scruffy coats will require moderate grooming, something future adopters should keep in mind when budgeting for dog ownership.
These pups are not for beginners, but in the right home they will grow into hilarious, loyal little sidekicks who keep life interesting. If you’re ready for a small dog with a big attitude, a sense of adventure, and just the right amount of lovable chaos, one of these scruffy little spice-etts might be your perfect match.
